The game was a BLAST! It ran in the evening, and the late start time REALLY helped keep the heat to bearable levels.
When it rained - and yes, it actually RAINED in Texas in July - it really cooled everyone off nicely! Pictures of team 4, who played through the rain without stopping, are posted here.

A-Kon 22 ran this past weekend in Dallas at the downtown Sheraton Hotel.It was fun and the theme of the many of the attendees, and many of the vendors, was Steampunk!

The game took place in GLORIOUS weather a Winter's Park in Garland, Tx.
It was fun, and the NPCs had fun because the few that were dedicated enough to make it both days got to be SUPER NPCS!!!!!! They have the gratitude of the PCs!

UPDATE: Sunday, 20-FEB-2011

Pat McGehearty outdid himself with TWO wonderful four-hour games. The low-line game ran first, then we had lunch -
and the Annual Board Meeting occurred during the VERY noisy lunch - then we ran the high-line game. It was a spectacular day for gaming: cool, overcast, and simply perfect!
We saw the return of two veterans who had been absent for over 10 years, AND we had a lot of new people show up and participate. All in all, a glorious day!

This was a FUN game that ran on a gorgeous day. We had a lot of new PCs playing, and we welcomed back an old friend we had not seen in years - Welcome back, Kevin!
Congratulations to Justin Murphey on another fun game in his continuing Averlast series. After seeing how the following week went, we can TRULY say that we were blessed with great weather for the game!
