2009 Schedule of Events

Dates in BLUE are final and set in stone.
All other dates are tentative and subject to change. This is especially true for game dates prior to the game being fully sanctioned.

UPDATE: Monday, 06-DEC-2010

This was a FUN game that ran on a gorgeous day. Lots of novices made for a fun mix of characters and personalities!
Congratulations to Moises Heredia on his first game, and to Moises and Allison Pace for producing it so very well!

Details will be covered in the
November newsletter.

UPDATE: Thursday, 21-OCT-2010

The game ran beautifully, with a 4th team of novices that joined at the last minute!
ALL of the novices seemed to truly enjoy themselves, as did the newbies and the old hands in this crazy, fun, wild game based on bad samurai movies and bad anime!

Details will be covered in the
November newsletter.

UPDATE: Monday, 04-OCT-2010

MANY THANKS to the seven people that showed up to help clean the shed. We actually got it done in about two hours.

The Board Meeting was held after the shed was cleaned, and more of John's delicious chocolate chip cookies were consumer!   :)
After the Board meeting, most of us went out to lunch (yes, even after stuffing ourselves with cookies)!

UPDATE: Monday, 04-OCT-2010

On game day, the weather was MOST uncooperative. It rained hard the entire night prior to the game and turned the land site into a swamp.
Winter Park is a fabulous land site, but even it needs a few hours to drain after a soaking like that.

The game has tentatively been moved to March 2011, making it the first big game of the 2011 gaming season. We will keep you posted....

UPDATE: Monday, 20-SEP-2010

Details of the September Board Meeting, and the shed preparation for "Onward", will be covered in the
September newsletter.

UPDATE: Monday, 06-SEP-2010
We had nearly 80 people attend our class on Basic LARP Sword Fighting, and we had over 50 people run through our new game "The Forge", written by Seth Bush.
It was a HUGELY successful production. And it was successfult BECAUSE we had so many people show up to help with the game.
In fact, near the end of the evening, we had two of the new people NPCing for us! How awesome is that?

Details of both events, and my "Thank You" letter to those who helped will be in the
September newsletter.

UPDATE: Sunday, 29-AUG-2010
We had 35 people show up to for the Board meeting, the Tournament, and the fabulous barbeque lunch - thanks, Greg!

Lionel showed up to the Tournament as a guest of The Don, and was universally unpleasant, rude, offensive, arrogant, and hostile. Lionel managed to hack off just about everyone there!   :)
When Lug challenged him for his rudeness to Lug's friends, Lionel left - while promising to assemble an army to wipe out the Don and his friends and followers.

The sounds of war rumble ever closer; let the politics begin...

Details will be in the
September newsletter.

UPDATE: Sunday, 30-JUL-2010
We had 12 people show up to help clean the shed, then two more made it for the Board Meeting and for the micro-game "Shedwrecked"!
With all the help, the shed got cleaned up in less than 2 hours! YAY and MANY thanks to the people that showed up to help!

Details will be in the
July/August newsletter.

UPDATE: Sunday, 20-JUN-2010
Danny Fuch's first game "Shipwrecked" was a LOT of fun! Even though it was hot as blazes, we had a nice breeze throughout most of the day to help keep everyone cool.
SUPER KUDOS to the 8 combat NPCs that had 9 fights during the day!!!

Details will be in the
July newsletter.

UPDATE: Saturday, 12-JUN-2010
Swords and shields were made, magic items bought, team compositions for "Shipwrecked" were altered, and all in all it sounds like a grand time was had by all! A special thanks goes to Alyssa for bringing the shields and her sewing machine! Thanks to Pat for acquiring the raw materials for the swords and staffs.

Details will be in the
June newsletter.

UPDATE: Saturday, 12-JUN-2010
Once again our "Fight The Knight" event was a huge success. We went from 4:00 pm straight through until 7:00 pm, and we did not even slow down once!
We had a total of 19 people show up to help, and >>> BOY <<< did we need each and every one of them!
Check out the
Photos page for a fun little video from the event!

Details will be in the June newsletter.

UPDATE: Tuesday, 25-MAY-2010
T"City of Dust" was a LOT of fun! The brainiacs solved the various puzzles while the tanks kepot the bad guys busy!
Congratulations to Courtney Miller on a very successful first production!

Details will be in the
May newsletter.

UPDATE: Tuesday, 03-MAY-2010
The concluding game to the Sevin series was a resounding success and one heck of a lot of fun!
Cleanup went REALLY quickly because just about everyone stayed to help! THANK YOU ALL who heped!

In addition, we were able to hold the previously postponed April Board Meeting in the park after the game - and that was VERY nice.

Details will be in the
April newsletter.

UPDATE: Monday, 19-APR-2010
The original run date for "City Of Dust" was cancelled due to a nasty weather forecast for the scheduled game day.
The game has been rescheduled for 22-MAY-2010.

UPDATE: Monday, 15-APR-2010
We had a LOT of people show up to help clean the shed, and the job got done in just under three hours. Which included LOTS of chatter and socializing, as well as lots of work!

Details will be in the
April newsletter.

UPDATE: Monday, 06-APR-2010
The monster is OVER! Three teams went through this long, grueling, and brutal game and emerged victorious! In fact, every PC walked away under their own power - which was a pretty good accomplishment! The producer and primary movers of the game (Olan, John, Rich, and Nathan) are mostly recovered. The Colorado team LOVED the game and we've heard positive feedback from many of the locals.

Details will be in the
April newsletter.

UPDATE: Monday, 15-MAR-2010
The Tribute To Dawn was a BRUTAL siege game; at least for the high-line team it was brutal.
There were about 20 NPCs to our 8 PCs, and the NPCs were able to take down all three wall sections. On that day it sucked to be a wall being protected by the high-line team!   :)

Details will be in the
February newsletter.

UPDATE: Tuesday, 23-FEB-2010
The Annual banquet was great! We had a HUGE turnout, including four new people and two old hands from whom we'd not heard in AGES returning to the fold!
Lunch was excellent, as usual, and the siege game was fun - and for the high-line PCs it was a wee bit brutal! :)

Details will be in the
February newsletter.

UPDATE: Saturday, 06-FEB-2010
Out Cold was a fun game with a superb turnout! The story was fun and fit perfectly with the very cold weather! In addition, we had 10 novices participate in the game, and they seemed to truly have a great time! This game gives a whole new interpretation to the phrase "killer rabbits"!   :)

Details are in the
January newsletter.

UPDATE: Monday, 23-MAR-2009
"Into The Woods" ran this past weekend, and despite a few screw-up by the producer , it went off VERY well! Most of the PCs I spoke with indicated that they truly enjoyed the game, and ALL of the NPCs had a blast!

Brittney took pictures on Saturday, and I think on Sunday as well
The pictures for the game are finally
posted!

Many, MANY thanks to ALL of the people who helped make this game run, and be such a success!

UPDATE: Monday, 02-MAR-2009
The 2009 Annual Banquet started off cold, but was a huge success!
Set up done on time, the NPCs got to meet for "Into The Woods", the Board meeting started on time and ended early, lunch was SUPERB, and the mini-game rand from 1:00 pm until dark!
Check the website for pictures and the next newsletter for details of the game, as well as for the minutes of the Board Meeting!

UPDATE: Sunday, 11-JAN-2009
The Board Meeting covered a lot of ground and got the year kicked off nicely!
In fact, this looks to be our best year ever in terms of games! Check out the complete and total awesomeness that is our 2009 schedule!

We also had a mini-game, Resuce Me! that appeared to be enjoyed by all! It was mean, cruel, and horribly evil! Bwaaa-hahahahaha!
Check the next newsletter for details and pictures of the game, as well as for the minutes of the Board Meeting!
